Lake Kezenoy-Am is the largest high-altitude lake in the North Caucasus and in Chechnya itself. It is located on the border between the Vedeno District of the Chechen Republic and the Botlikh District of the Republic of Dagestan at an altitude of 1,854 meters above sea level on the southern slope of the Andi Range.

It is a dammed lake, formed by the blocking of the Karsum and Kaukh mountain rivers as a result of an earthquake. The lake is 72 m deep. It is fed by underground waters and tributaries. Lake Kezenoy-Am is home to the rare Eizenam trout, which is listed in the Red Book. Rare species of plants and insects can also be found in this region.

There is a sports and tourist complex and a mosque near the lake.

Lake Kezenoy-Am is a natural monument and is located on the territory of the Argun Historical, Architectural, and Natural Museum-Reserve. It is protected by the state.
