The Kharkaroy combat tower is located in the village of Kharkaroy in the Vedeno district of the Chechen Republic, 59 km from the district center of Vedeno. The tower stands on the southern outskirts of the village, on the left side of the Ansalta River gorge, at an altitude of 1,550 m above sea level. It is dated XII-XVI centuries.

The tower is four-storied, the walls taper upwards. The height of the preserved part of the walls is 16 meters. In the upper part on 4 sides elements of stone balconies are preserved. The tower is oriented by angles to the sides of the world. The walls are made of well-treated stones on clay-lime mortar. In shape and dimensions it differs from Vainakh classical towers, although the architectural methods and masonry techniques are Vainakh. Above all, it is lower and more squat.

The Kharkaroy combat tower is a cultural heritage site and is located on the territory of the Argun Historical, Architectural and Natural Museum-Reserve. It is protected by the state.

Vedensky district won the Sinmekhallash contest-festival.

The final of the 16th Republican television festival-contest “Sinmekhallash” was held at the Dagun Omayev Palace of Celebrations. Teams from the Vedeno and Shatoy districts took part in the contest. The participants demonstrated vocal and theatrical numbers, knowledge of their native language and traditions.

The winner of the competition was the team from the Vedeno district, which took first place and received 1,000,000 roubles. The Shatoy district took second place, and third place was shared by the teams from the Shaly and Nozhai-Yurt districts.

By the end of the year, 30 communal infrastructure facilities will be completed in Chechnya.

By the end of 2024, 30 communal infrastructure facilities will be commissioned in the Chechen Republic. The works are being carried out under the Housing and Urban Environment national project and the program of the Russian Ministry of Construction. Among them is the construction and reconstruction of 15 complexes of treatment facilities in various municipal districts of the republic, including Vedeno, Shaly, Grozny districts and others.

The total capacity of these facilities will be more than 40 thousand meters of water per day. The project is aimed at improving the quality of public utilities and developing the region's infrastructure, which will raise the living standards of local residents.

Participants of the prestigious “School of Mayors” program - mayors of cities and heads of municipal districts from all regions of Russia visited tourist sites of the Vedensky district. According to Turpal-Ali Abdulazizov, head of the Vedensky district administration, the guests were warmly welcomed with national dishes, songs and dances. The participants also visited a viewing platform overlooking the sports and tourist complex “Kezenoy-Am” and the village of Khoi.

For reference, the “School of Mayors” is an all-Russian program for training municipal managers aimed at developing territories and improving the quality of life, which is implemented by the Higher School of Public Administration of the Presidential Academy with the support of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation and the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government.

Vedeno district administration hosted a meeting between the head of the municipality Turpal-Ali Abdulazizov and businessman Abdul-Malik Mutalipov. On the agenda were plans to build a new multi-storey residential building in the district center. In addition, other investment areas were discussed.

“We discussed the current stage of work, the timing of completion of the object and its importance for the residents of the municipality. Let me remind you that the project provides for a modern building on 9 levels, which will house 77 apartments. The first floor of the building provides premises for commercial facilities,” Abdulazizov said.
