The Temple of Unity memorial stone is located next to the Yak Shelter, on a small rocky plateau offering a beautiful panoramic view of the Elbrus region. The plaque reads: Elbrus High-Mountain Temple of Unity of the Peoples and Religions of the World. Nearby, on the same plateau, is another memorial stone with plaques honoring the fallen climbers.

It is listed as a cultural heritage site, along with the Memorial to Fallen Climbers, the Plaque to the Commanders of the Red Army, and the Memorial Plaque with a poem dedicated to Elbrus.

An event on national security and youth extremism prevention was held at the Elbrus District Youth Center. Participants discussed the functioning of the Anti-Terrorism Commission in the republic and citizen participation in ensuring social stability.

The following experts spoke at the event: Azret Bayzulaev, Chief Specialist and Secretary of the Anti-Terrorism Commission of the Elbrus District Administration; Zhannet Akhmatova, Legal Advisor to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic in the Elbrus District; and Diana Nazaryan, Leading Specialist in the Youth Policy Department of the Education Department.

A delegation from the Elbrus District, led by Mukhtar Otarov, Head of the District Administration, is participating in the 3rd All-Russian Municipal Forum "SMALL MOTHERLAND – RUSSIA'S POWER." The event aims to strengthen interactions between representatives of the country's municipalities, promote the exchange of management experiences, and intensify discussions of current regional development practices.

The forum's program includes the awards ceremony for the 3rd All-Russian Municipal Award "Service," established by Russian President Vladimir Putin and awarded for contributions to the development of municipalities and improving the quality of life for citizens.

From May 2nd to 8th, Elbrus will host the 17th edition of the Red Fox Elbrus Race 2026 festival.

On May 3rd, the individual ski mountaineering race will take place. This sport debuted at the 2026 Winter Olympics, where Nikita Filippov, a regular participant in the Red Fox Elbrus Race, won silver in the sprint. The Elbrus race will be the final stage of the Russian Cup and a powerful conclusion to the season for professional athletes.

On May 5th, the vertical kilometer race will take place from 2,450 to 3,450 meters. This is the largest race of the festival and a stage of the Russian Cup. Skyrunners must complete the race within two hours.

On May 7th, the sky marathon race will take place, a race to the Western Summit of Elbrus (5,642 meters). The race will be held in two stages: from the Azau glade (2,350 m) and from the Bochki shelter (3,750 m).

Participants include national team representatives, winners of national championships, and World Cup stages. Athletes of any experience are also eligible to participate in the overall standings in all three events.
