The FANK Science Film Days have kicked off at PSU.
They'll run until November 14. This project is meant to introduce students to modern films about science and maybe even inspire them to do their own research.
The opening film of the festival is Anastasia Zverkova's documentary Music of the Stars, which attempts to draw the attention of a wide audience to the starry sky and show that it is not a lifeless space, but a unique and dynamic world.
The film's main characters, astrophysicists Alexander Moskvitin and Alexei Medvedev, attended the screening and afterwards shared their impressions of working on the project with the audience, as well as talking about modern methods of space exploration and the combination of science and creativity.
The screenings were organized by the FANK Festival of Contemporary Scientific Cinema with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation as part of the Decade of Science and Technology.
