PSU held its first extended Academic Council meeting of the new academic year.
The agenda of the extended meeting of the PSU Academic Council (which was attended by heads and staff of all university departments and student organizations) included the following:
The results of the 2026 university admissions process;
PSU's priorities and key objectives as a co-integrated, ideologically-focused, transformative, and creative university for the 2026/2027 academic year in the context of the updated Development Program to 2036;
Approval of the work plan of the PSU Academic Council for the 2026/2027 academic year and a list of priority issues for consideration by the Academic Councils of Institutes/Higher Schools and Departments in the 2026/2027 academic year;
Approval of the Regulation on the Organization of Socio-Political Work at the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "PSU";
Also, approval of the updated Regulation on the Effective Contract and a discussion of organizational measures for the full university staff's participation in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
In his speech, Alexander Pavlovich Gorbunov outlined and described the university's main priority and key objectives for the 2026/2027 academic year in the context of the updated Development Program to 2036 and reported on the successful results of the admissions campaign.
