PSU celebrated the 35th anniversary of the regional Georgian national and cultural autonomy “Iberia” with a solemn presentation of gratitude from the rector.
The director of the Institute of Foreign Languages and International Tourism, Professor Irina Mikhailovna Akopyan, solemnly presented a letter of gratitude on behalf of the rector of PSU, Professor A.P. Gorbunov, to the Chairman of the Regional Georgian National and Cultural Autonomy “Iberia” in the Stavropol Territory, Petr Vladimirovich Lobzhanidze.
The letter was timed to coincide with the 35th anniversary of the founding of the autonomy. The text, on behalf of the rector, notes that all these years, “Iberia,” under the leadership of Peter Lobzhanidze, has been a significant center for the preservation of the rich cultural heritage of the Georgian people.
Irina Akopyan also conveyed the university's sincere gratitude for Petr Lobzhanidze's many years of fruitful cooperation and personal contribution to strengthening interethnic harmony.
