Last weekend, the Hospitality Industry Center of the Institute of International Management and Tourism at PSU and the Mineralka Touring Club organized a traditional but no less exciting excursion to Arkhyz for students and teachers of our university.
This trip was a real immersion into the history, nature, and culture of the Caucasus:
We visited the ancient Alanian settlement (Nizhnearkhyzskoye) and immersed ourselves in the world of myths and legends of the first settlers;
We saw a unique shrine—a rock image of the Face of Christ, a fresco painted at a height of 100 meters;
We took a cable car up to an altitude of 2,240 meters in Romantika.
We enjoyed the stunning autumn and winter landscapes, the summit of Mount Sofia, and learned a lot of interesting facts about the geography and history of the region.
