PSU Rector Alexander Pavlovich Gorbunov joined the new Public Council of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the North Caucasus Federal District and participated in its first meeting.

The first meeting of the newly elected Public Council was held at the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the North Caucasus Federal District. Participants summarized the work for 2023–2026 and approved the Council's composition for the period through 2029.

During the meeting, Police Colonel General Sergei Bachurin, Head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the North Caucasus Federal District, noted the importance of interaction between law enforcement agencies and civil society institutions and thanked the Council members for their contributions to the implementation of socially significant and patriotic projects.
