An all-Russian seminar was held at the New Chersonesos Museum and Temple Complex with the participation of Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
Participants discussed the formation of the socio-humanitarian part of the unified core of higher education—the basis of a new model that will unite the humanities for all students of Russian universities.
The rector of PSU, chairman of the Council of Rectors of Universities of the North Caucasus Federal District, Professor Alexander Pavlovich Gorbunov, took part in the discussion, emphasizing: “The fundamental importance of the social and humanitarian core in terms of life and activity is higher than the fundamental importance of the natural science and technological components of education.”
