The Sunzha Administrative Region was established on September 30, 1931. Being one of the largest districts (1,613 sq km), it occupies the eastern and central parts of the Republic of Ingushetia. It borders in the northeast with the Chechen Republic and in the south with North Ossetia. The administrative center is the city of Sunzha, located 40 km from the republican center - Magas.

The variety of relief and climate, as well as the favorable geographical location provide the district with excellent conditions for the development of industry and agriculture. On the territory there are 7 state unitary enterprises with a total arable area of 16,873 hectares, agricultural cooperatives, a horse farm. There are three rivers – Assa, Sunzha and Jerusalimka.

The area is served by rail, air and road transport. Magas airport is also located here, the asphalt Baku-Rostov highway passes.

The population of the district is 123,360 people.

In the Sunzha and Malgobek districts, specialists conducted a survey of cereal crops.

Representatives of the Rosselkhoztsentr branch in the Ingushetia region and the regional Ministry of Agriculture participated in the field visit. The main objective of the survey was to assess the condition of agricultural crops and determine the necessary measures to preserve future harvests.

During the survey, specialists assessed the condition of the crops and conducted phytosanitary monitoring for pests and signs of plant diseases.

Following the survey, agricultural producers were given recommendations on crop protection and the implementation of necessary agricultural practices. This work enables the timely identification of potential risks and the implementation of measures to improve the efficiency of agricultural production.

Improvements to public spaces in Sunzha continue as part of the federal project "Creating a Comfortable Urban Environment" of the national project "Infrastructure for Life."

Oskanova Street is the latest site to be renovated. A 200-meter stretch of the roadway has been widened, new asphalt has been laid, curbs and modern street lighting have been installed, and a parking area has been developed.

These improvements have made traffic more comfortable and safe, and the additional parking lane will reduce the likelihood of congestion in one of the city's busiest areas.

The project also includes landscaping of the surrounding area. Perennial red-leaf maples have been planted along the street, complementing the updated appearance of one of the city's central thoroughfares.

It is worth noting that in 2026, as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life," 24 public spaces in various municipalities of the region are planned for improvement.

The second stage of improvement of the Memory and Glory Park continues in Sunzha.

The implementation of the project started in April in accordance with the objectives of the people's program. The contractor has completed the laying of pedestrian paths from paving slabs, and is now preparing the foundation for landscaping with the laying of black soil.

The park will have new alleys, gazebos and lighting: a memorial stele, six benches, five gazebos and 16 street lamps will be installed. In total, it is planned to improve 4,500 sq. m of territory, of which 800 sq. m are already occupied by paving slabs.

The first stage of work was completed in September last year, the updated part of the park has become a popular place for recreation and walking for residents. The current stage is a continuation of the formed public space.

All work is planned to be completed by the end of June.

A new educational center will be built in the village of Galashki on the site of an old school building.

Russian Senator from Ingushetia, Mikhail Ilezov, along with village elders, regional ministers, and the village administration, visited the construction site in Galashki, where a modern educational center is planned to replace the existing school.

The old school served several generations of residents for nearly 65 years, and the parents and grandparents of today's schoolchildren studied within its walls. A new three-story school with 200 students, 11 classrooms, modern classrooms, and all necessary infrastructure will be built on this site.

Project details were discussed with residents and specialists at the site, including convenient access to the building, the facility's location on the site, and compliance with building and sanitary regulations. Special attention was paid to the safety and comfortable conditions for children, teachers, and village residents.

The construction of this school was not initially included in the current plans, but following residents' appeals and the support of the Head of Ingushetia, Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov, the issue was successfully considered at the federal level. As a result, this school and three other schools in the region were included in the priority plan.

Students are expected to move into the new building on September 1, 2028, and begin the school year in modern conditions.

Humanitarian aid was delivered to Troitskoye, Sunzha District, for families affected by flooding, following the initiative of Mamayev Bagautdin, head of the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan.

The shipment included lamb, drinking water, flour, shovels, boots, carts, a generator, pumps, galoshes, and other necessary first aid supplies.

Construction of the largest water intake complex on the Assa River continues in the rural settlement of Alkun, Sunzha District.

The new facility will significantly improve the reliability of the water supply system and provide a stable water supply to residents of cities and rural settlements in Ingushetia.

The project includes:

▫️ Construction of an underflow water intake

▫️ Creation of utility infrastructure

▫️ Installation of main water supply networks

Once the complex is operational, high-quality drinking water will be supplied to Sunzha, Karabulak, Malgobek, and other settlements in the republic's foothills and mountains.

Ongoing technical and laboratory quality control of the work performed and compliance with sanitary requirements are in place at the facility.

Construction of the complex is proceeding as planned and is under constant monitoring.

Renovation of Oskanov Street has begun in Sunzha.

The work is being carried out as part of the federal project "Creating a Comfortable Urban Environment" of the national project "Infrastructure for Life." Residents chose this particular area during a popular vote last year.

Preparatory work is currently underway on the site: the old asphalt pavement is being removed, the road base is being leveled, and preparations are underway for laying new asphalt.

The project also includes the installation of modern street lighting, road infrastructure upgrades, and curbstone installation.

Furthermore, sanitary pruning of greenery is being carried out to ensure safety and improve the street's appearance.

The improvements are scheduled to be completed by the end of June.

The second phase of the Sunzha Agrokombinat is scheduled to open in 2027.

The investor previously encountered difficulties with grid connections and financing. These issues have been addressed and are being gradually resolved with the participation of regional leadership.

The Sunzha Agrokombinat is currently the largest agro-industrial complex in the Republic of Ingushetia.

The first phase, launched in 2019 with the participation of the North Caucasus Development Corporation (now Kavkaz.RF), includes 10.5 hectares of greenhouses. Investments totaled 1.7 billion rubles, with annual production exceeding 5,000 tons.

The second phase includes the construction of a 22-hectare greenhouse complex, the launch of the Tikhaya electrical substation, and increasing the total greenhouse area to over 32 hectares. The investment volume is estimated at 7 billion rubles, of which 1.3 billion rubles are planned to be contributed by the Kavkaz.RF development institute.

Once reaching design capacity, tomato and other vegetable production in the republic could increase to 25,000–26,000 tons per year. This will create new jobs, generate additional tax revenue, and strengthen the region's food security, facilitated by the coordinated efforts of the investor, relevant agencies, and federal development institutions.

The exhibition "Dream by the River of Time" has opened at the State Exhibition Gallery in Sunzha.

The exhibition features works by Kabardino-Balkarian artists Madina Saralp and Raziyat Gazaeva.

Representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Ingushetia, artists, writers, and heads of cultural institutions participated in the opening ceremony.

The exhibition features photographic posters, original fabric paintings, stylized dolls and mannequins in national costumes, as well as ceramic and metal objects.

The exhibition is on view until May 10.

The "Save the Forest" campaign took place in Sunzha.

City administration employees planted 500 young trees along the Sunzha-Malgobek highway. The event was carried out in accordance with the instructions of the Head of Ingushetia, Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov.

The tree planting is aimed at improving the environmental situation, creating a comfortable urban environment, and fostering favorable living conditions for residents.

Road safety improvements continue in Sunzha.

Pedestrian crossing renovations have begun in the city. Sunzha Mayor Aslan Umarov visited the sites where the work is underway and inspected the new markings.

The work is being carried out as part of a phased modernization of the street and road network. T7 traffic lights have already been upgraded, additional road signs have been installed, and modern marking solutions are being implemented.

Pedestrian crossing renovations will continue on municipal roads.

A meeting with city administration representatives was held at School No. 10, during which the students were briefed on the process of the All-Russian vote and its role in urban development.

The students learned about completed improvement projects chosen by residents in previous years. The students actively participated in the discussion, asking questions and sharing their opinions.

Work is underway to clear the riverbed in the Sunzha River.

In preparation for the flood season, specialists are clearing and widening the Sunzha Riverbed to allow for the safe flow of water.

Mayor Aslan Umarov, along with relevant agencies, inspected the work.

Clearing fallen trees, household debris, and sediment will reduce the risk of flooding during periods of heavy rainfall.

The total length of the section is approximately 1,210 meters. The work is ongoing.

Reconstruction work has begun on a market in Sunzha damaged by fire.

Construction began recently. Site preparation and foundation pouring for new pavilions are currently underway. The facility will be restored to a modern and safe condition, meeting all requirements.

As a reminder, a fire occurred at the market last May. The fire destroyed over 1,000 square meters and virtually all of the retail pavilions. As a result, more than 50 entrepreneurs lost their jobs.

After the reconstruction is complete, they will be able to return to their businesses. Permanent pavilions are planned to replace the previous temporary structures, complying with all safety regulations and featuring convenient infrastructure.

The work is being carried out in accordance with the instructions of the Head of the Republic, Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov, who previously visited the site and instructed that safety and comfortable conditions be ensured for entrepreneurs.

Sunzha kicked off its spring cleanup month.

As part of the Year of Ecology declared by the regional governor, our city held its first cleanup day.

Over 120 people, including employees of the administration and subordinate organizations, participated in this charitable effort.

Mowing the grass, clearing trash, and trimming trees and shrubs were carried out around the pond and on Bogatyreva Street.

The combined effort resulted in over 200 bags of collected trash.

The Sunzha District joined the republican cleanup day.

At the direction of the district's head, Isa Tatiyev, district administration employees, along with the administration of the rural settlement of Nesterovskoye, subordinate institutions, and local residents, held a cleanup day along the banks of the Assa River.

This event is part of the republican month-long cleanup campaign announced by the head of the Republic of Ingushetia, M.M. Kalimatov.

During the cleanup day, participants actively removed trash and cleared the banks of various waste, significantly improving the environmental situation in the area.

It is also worth noting that employees of subordinate institutions also organized cleanup days in areas adjacent to their institutions, thereby contributing to the creation of a comfortable and well-maintained environment for residents.

The performance took place at the city's Palace of Culture as part of the all-Russian "Night of Theater Arts" event, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Union of Theater Workers of Russia.

With a light and colorful atmosphere, the production introduces audiences to the peculiarities of the traditional Ingush way of life, combining humor and national traditions.

A new family recreation park is planned for Sunzha.

Regional Governor Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov reviewed an updated renovation project for the children's amusement park.

The facility was previously closed due to safety violations and a lack of necessary documentation. All issues have now been addressed jointly with the investor and the administration.

The park will feature play areas for different ages, attractions, walking paths, recreation areas, and event venues. All equipment undergoes mandatory certification, with special attention paid to safety and utility infrastructure.

A holding facility for stray animals is being built in Sunzha.

Mayor Aslan Umarov inspected the work. The need for this facility stems from numerous complaints from residents. Stray animals create a nuisance, damage property, and impact the urban environment.

Construction is scheduled to be completed within 10 days.

After the opening, animals found unattended on the streets will be transported to a dedicated site.

Over 70,000 ash saplings were planted in the Nazran and Sunzha districts.

The events were part of the "Environmental Well-Being" national project initiated by the President of Russia.

Reforestation covered 35 hectares. Modern technologies were used during the planting, increasing the survival rate and resilience of the plants.

This work helps preserve nature and create a comfortable living environment.
