Pyatigorsk State University has begun presenting projects by graduates of the online supplementary educational program "Autonomous Mobile Robots: Programming and Electronics (Initial Level)," implemented jointly with 1T LLC.

Fourteen schoolchildren from cities in the Caucasian Mineral Waters region, who completed training under the guidance of V.A. Grechko and Z.Kh. Abregova, specialists from the Design and Technology Bureau "Creative Programming, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence," are presenting their projects. The young roboticists are demonstrating a cleaning robot, a parking robot, a delivery robot, and a search robot with heuristics. Experts evaluate the projects' functionality, the quality of the program code, the circuit assembly, and the presentation of their designs.

For many participants, the program was their first serious step into the world of engineering, programming, and robotics.

The "Experts' Pipeline" of the "Educational Breakthrough" acceleration program was held at Pyatigorsk State University.

On June 8, student teams presented their projects to thematic area curators, experts, mentors, trackers, and representatives of the program's partner organizations. Participants had the opportunity to showcase the results of their work, discuss project development prospects, and receive professional evaluation from experts.

The selection experts were A.M. Belovolov, A.A. Efremova, A.B. Krylovsky, A.G. Efremov, M.R. Zheltukhina, M.M. Dzantuev, E.G. Mailyan, I.V. Kicheva, A.V. Konstantinov, A.A. Karavaev, M.O. Gichgeldieva, and N.V. Kostenko.

Following their presentations, the teams received detailed feedback from trackers, experts, mentors, and representatives of the partner organizations.

The recommendations will allow participants to refine their projects and prepare well for the next stage of the program – Demo Day, where the best developments will be presented to a wider audience.

A master's student from Pyatigorsk State University participated in the 2026 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

On June 6, a discussion panel entitled "Student Self-Government: A Tool for the Socioeconomic Development of Regions" was held as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum's Youth Day. It was organized by the Student Council of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science.

Daria Khazhikarova represented Pyatigorsk State University at the event. During the discussion, participants discussed the role of student self-government in the development of universities and regions, student involvement in decision-making processes, and the development of the country's human resources.

The open lecture was given by Maxim Ivanovich Zelnikov, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor, and Senior Research Fellow at the Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The event was organized by the Graduate School of Design and Architecture jointly with the Student Scientific Society.

During the lecture, "The Formula of Creation: The Origin of the World from the Perspective of Modern Physics and Russian Religious Philosophy," participants discussed the origins of the Universe, modern concepts in astrophysics, and the relationship between scientific and philosophical approaches to understanding the universe.

The lecture provided a platform for open interdisciplinary dialogue and once again confirmed the interest of PSU students and faculty in current scientific and ideological issues.

The second international masterclass, organized in collaboration with Sharof Rashidov Samarkand State University (Republic of Uzbekistan), will be held at PSU's Institute of Translation Studies, Russian Studies, and Multilingualism.

The topic of the meeting is "Integration of Artificial Intelligence Technologies into Scientific Research." The speaker will be Associate Professor Tatyana Aleksandrovna Tsybina, coordinator of research activities at PSU's Institute of Translation Studies, Russian Studies, and Multilingualism.

A Dialogue of Cultures: Traditions and Modern Life in Turkey Discussed at PSU's Institute of Translation Studies, Russian Studies, and Multilingualism.

A roundtable discussion titled "Traditions, Customs, and Stereotypes about Turkey" was held at PSU's Institute of Translation Studies, Russian Studies, and Multilingualism. It brought together PSU students and representatives of Turkish culture.

The participants conversed in Turkish, discussed business and everyday etiquette, contemporary cultural trends, and issues of education and life in Turkey.

The roundtable provided a platform for vibrant intercultural dialogue, language practice, and knowledge exchange, allowing participants to gain a deeper understanding of Turkish culture and strengthen international ties.

A master class on interpreting was held at PSU's Institute of Translation Studies, Russian Studies, and Multilingualism.

The master class "Interpreting: A Start" was held at the Institute of Translation Studies, Russian Studies, and Multilingualism. It was organized by Evgeny Aleksandrovich Kolomiets, a professor in the Department of Translation Theory and Practice and a practicing translator.

Participants learned the basic skills necessary for future translators: they trained their working memory and concentration, worked on speech technique, mastered deverbalization techniques, learned to maintain complex speech structures, and responded quickly under time pressure.

Particular attention was paid to developing the professional qualities of interpreters, including stress tolerance, the ability to anticipate speech flow, and build effective communication between representatives of different cultures.

The master class provided a useful platform for sharing experiences and another step toward training future professionals in the translation industry.

A PSU employee has been awarded a Certificate of Gratitude from the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Jordan.

Denis Aleksandrovich Mirgorod, Head of the Department of Oriental Languages ​​and Cultures at PSU and an expert of the Russian International Affairs Council, was awarded a Certificate of Gratitude from the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, G.F. Desyatnikov, for his contribution to the development of the expert community and his participation in evaluating the research and analytical work of young researchers.

Denis Aleksandrovich was named a jury member for the 1st Jordanian National Competition of Research and Analytical Papers on International Issues named after Yevgeny Primakov, organized by the Rossotrudnichestvo office. The competition aims to support young researchers and develop Russian-Jordanian humanitarian cooperation.

Pyatigorsk State University will host an open lecture by Maxim Ivanovich Zelnikov, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor, and Senior Researcher at the Laboratory of Space Physics Problems in the Theoretical Physics Department of the M.P. Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Participants will join the leading astrophysicist in addressing some of humanity's most complex and fascinating questions: how the universe emerged, why it is structured the way it is, and how scientific understanding of its origins relates to philosophical concepts of existence. The lecture will provide a forum for dialogue between modern cosmology and Russian religious philosophy.

Students from the Institute of Translation Studies, Russian Studies, and Multilingualism at Pyatigorsk State University developed an English-language tour of Lermontov-inspired sites in Pyatigorsk for senior students from Georgievsk Gymnasium No. 2. The project was implemented as part of the Service Learning program.

The project began with extensive research: the team studied the historical and cultural context of the city, analyzed existing tour routes, collected student suggestions, and compiled cartographic and photographic materials.

The result was a comprehensive tour route through key points in the novel "A Hero of Our Time," juxtaposing literary descriptions with the modern appearance of Pyatigorsk.

The students paid special attention to the accessibility of the materials: the tour text was prepared in English using the Easy to Read and Plain Language approaches to ensure the information was easily understood and understood.

Activists from the PSU Primary Trade Union visited the Damkhurts Educational, Recreational, and Sports and Health Center in Karachay-Cherkessia. The trip was part of the "By the Laws of the Mountains" project and combined sports, educational, and patriotic activities.

Participants learned basic mountain survival skills, participated in a history quiz, sports competitions, and first aid workshops. A highlight of the program was a visit to the memorial to the defenders of the Motherland, located in the mountains.

A PSU student has become an ambassador for the federal program "Student Tourism."

On International Family Day, the "Student Tourism" project announced the names of new ambassadors, mentors, and media ambassadors for the federal program for youth and student tourism.

Arina Kuzmenko, a student at the Institute of Foreign Languages ​​and International Tourism at PSU, has been selected as one of the ambassadors after successfully passing a competitive selection process. Arina is a member of the student travel club "Mineralka," which aims to develop youth, environmental, cultural, educational, and domestic tourism.

The "Student Tourism" program, implemented by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation since 2021, brings together young people passionate about travel and opens opportunities for educational and cultural trips within Russia and abroad.

"Gastronomic Globe": Kislovodsk schoolchildren learned about the Institute of Foreign Languages ​​and International Tourism at PSU through the languages ​​and cuisines of the world.

The Institute of Foreign Languages ​​and International Tourism at PSU hosted students from School No. 2 in Kislovodsk, which offers advanced English language instruction. The meeting was part of the "School–University–Region" career guidance project.

PSU Rector Alexander Pavlovich Gorbunov joined the new Public Council of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the North Caucasus Federal District and participated in its first meeting.

A highlight of the event was the awarding of students who contributed to the development of literature, the popularization of the Russian language, and cultural and educational activities.

Tomsk has always been and remains one of the most important scientific and educational centers in the country, a leader in the Siberian Federal District in engaging students in technological entrepreneurship.

As part of the All-Russian Forum of Young Scientists, Engineers, and Entrepreneurs, UNOVUS-2026, a roundtable discussion was held with the participation of Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Nikolaevich Falkov.

The Minister of Science and Higher Education held a working meeting with students from Tomsk universities participating in acceleration programs, the Student Startup competition, and leaders of university consortiums engaged in technological entrepreneurship. The students presented their startup projects to the minister and asked questions about the development of and support measures for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Pyatigorsk State University was among the key partners of the 1st Jordanian National Primakov Competition for Research and Analytical Papers on International Issues, organized by the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The competition aims to develop an expert community of young researchers specializing in international relations, as well as to strengthen Russian-Jordanian humanitarian cooperation and develop interest in Russian studies.

Along with the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Jordan, the Primakov Center for Foreign Policy Cooperation, the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the National Library of Russia are among the organizations that supported the competition.
