PSU hosted the milestone "Gorsky Ochag-2026" (Highland Hearth) gastronomic festival.
The 10th National Unity Week kicked off at the Institute of Romano-Germanic Languages, Information, and Humanities Technologies. The program began with the traditional "Gorsky Ochag" festival, which brought together representatives from various ethnic groups across Russia.
Students introduced guests to the national dishes and culinary traditions of 11 different peoples, including Russians, Armenians, Ossetians, Greeks, Adyghe, Nogais, Kazakhs, Karachays, Balkars, Kalmyks, and Azerbaijanis. Kazakh, Nogai, and Azerbaijani cultures were featured in the festival for the first time.
"Gorsky Ochag" served as an excellent opportunity for participants to explore one another’s culinary heritage and served as a vivid reminder of the rich cultural diversity found among the peoples of our country.
